Rockbrook 2025

Hello!! I’m originally from Puerto Rico but I’ve lived in North Carolina for 9 years. I just finished up my sophomore year at UNC Charlotte. I’m super excited to come back to camp this summer! Camp is such a fun, silly place with the best people. I love getting away and spending time in the mountains for the summer. Camp also has the BEST activities that I’m super excited to explore and teach this summer. I love all kinds of crafts and adventures. I can’t wait to be back at RBC with my campers. Counting down the days!

Hey there hi there! My name is Sofia and I’m so beyond excited to spend yet another summer at camp! This will be my 8th (9th if not for covid) summer at camp and my 3rd year on staff! I’m from Tampa, FL and I just completed my freshman year at Middlebury College in Vermont studying Psychology and French. I have missed camp dearly; from our muffin breaks and free swims spent at the lake to our tennis matches at Twilight and song singing at meals; and I definitely am looking forward to re-immersing myself in camp life. I cannot wait to be in our sunny Rockbrook community once again and make it people’s second home! I LOVE CAMP!

Hi!! My name is Julia, and I’m so excited to be spending my first summer at Rockbrook! I’m from Apex, NC, and I’m a rising senior at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, where I am studying Sociology and Education. I just finished up my semester abroad in Florence, Italy and had the opportunity to travel to 14 countries in 4 months!

To me, camp is a space where you can truly be yourself and be surrounded by others who are doing the same. I’ve always loved being outdoors and exploring, and as a North Carolina native, I know just how magical the mountains can be. I can’t wait to dive into all things Rockbrook and meet amazing people along the way. I’m so excited to be part of this team and can’t wait to meet all of you!

Hey there, hi there! My name is Josie and I’m from San Francisco, CA. This will be my 8th summer at Rockbrook, and I cannot wait to return as a counselor! I am entering my freshman year of college as an elementary education major and can’t wait to get some hands-on experience. Rockbrook is so welcoming and a lovely community that I am proud to be a part of. I love crafting, such as embroidery, crocheting, pottery, and painting, as well as writing, but I also love hiking, swimming, running, and playing sports, making Rockbrook the perfect place for me. I have made some of my best friends at camp, whom I still talk to regularly. I hope to contribute to the magic and joy that camp has given me and carried through my life up until now. Rockbrook has been my safe space and my home since I was 8 years old, and I want to give my campers the same love I have for camp because camp is truly a special place like no other. I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer and make unbelievable memories together!

Hey y’all! My name is Lydia & I am a rising junior at UGA. I have been going to Rockbrook since I was 9 (+ this will be my 9th summer at RBC)! Some of my favorite things at camp are muffin break, rest hour, hiking to Castle Rock at sunset, going to Dolly’s, a fun surprise, sitting in a rocking chair on the deck of any lodge, making friendship bracelets, and doing all these things with my friends. At camp, you can usually find me doing some sort of craft. I helped out with pottery and KIT last summer. I am so excited to return to Brevard and get outside this summer!

This is going to be my second year at Rockbrook and I could not be more excited! After a busy year (and generally bad weather) I am ready to pack up and head back to the mountains for a summer filled with action, fun and silliness. You will probably find me relaxing on the junior lodge porch, chilling on the hill with a book, or challenging someone to a game of tetherball…

My name’s Hannah and this is my second year on staff at the amazing RBC. After a year of missing camp and surviving the British weather, I am so excited to get back to Rockbrook’s fun, smiles and sillyness!
At home I’m a Media and Communications student at Northumbria Uni and live in Newcastle, I am a dancer and have also recently started playing lacrosse. Outside of that, I spend my time dividing my attention between my part time job and the charities I volunteer for (5 of them, and counting).
I absolutely cannot wait to be back at the heart of a wooded mountain with all of our RBC girls!

Hi! I’m Aubrey, and I’m so excited to be back at Rockbrook this summer! I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana and I love getting to spend summer in the mountains. I just finished my first year at Oxford College of Emory University where I’m studying chemistry, and where the close knit community reminds me of RBC! I can’t wait to be back in the camp community where everyone is the best, silliest versions of themselves. At camp you can usually find me at the lake with my campers on a hot day, reading on the hillside lodge porch, or making bracelets on the hill. I am so excited to see familiar faces and meet new friends!

Hi!! My name is Grace and I’m beyond thrilled to be back at camp for another amazing summer!! I’m from Atlantic Beach, Florida and just wrapped up my freshman year at Sewanee, where I’m studying Psychology on the Pre-Med track. After a busy first year of college, I’m so excited to be back in the heart of a wooded mountain, soaking up all the camp magic. I love spending time with my friends and being outside. While at camp, you’ll probably find me out by the alpine tower or hanging out on the hill. I can’t wait for my 8th summer in my home away from home full of laughter shared and new memories made. Yay camp!!!
