Rockbrook 2023

My name is Olivia and I am from Columbus, Ohio! I am a third year at Ohio State studying Psychology and I hope to become an elementary school counselor in the future. This is my first year at Rockbrook as a counselor and I could not be more excited! I’ve never been to overnight camp before, but I was drawn to Rockbrook because they really stress the importance of healthy friendships and confidence in young girls. At camp, I hope to make new friends, slow down, and see the camp magic happen all summer!

Originally from Miami, but home based in Austin, Texas now, I have been a RBC’er since I was 10 years old. I spent 11+ summers at camp and am excited to be back as Camp Mom this year for a bit!

Helloooooooooooo everybody! I’m beyond excited to be returning to Rockbrook this summer – it’s my favourite place on Earth! Rockbrook has been a second home to me since I was 8 years-old and continues to shape me as a person today. There is something unmistakably magical about the short time we get to spend together in the heart of a wooded mountain that leaves me and many others returning year after year.

One thing l’ve always loved about Rockbrook’s caring community is that it has a special place for everyone who rolls up the driveway on opening day, and soon enough, we all feel like family. Nothing makes me happier than seeing campers radiate joy and be their silliest selves in such an uplifting environment! I’m honoured to be a part of this magic and I can’t wait to meet you all soon. You can likely find me on the front porch of the office doing fairy hair or giving out some glitter, so come say hi!

Hi all! I’m Emma McClure and l’m originally from Georgia but now live in Knoxville, TN. I’m currently attending Montana State, studying nutrition. This will be my 10th year at rbc! I took a break since Covid so it will be my first year as a counselor! I had such sweet and influential counselors growing up, I can’t wait to share the Rockbrook experience with my campers.

Hello my name is Anna. This is my first year at Rockbrook and I am so excited. I am from New Hampshire and I am getting my college degree in Biology. I love archery and arts and crafts. I’m so excited for camp!!

Hey y’all! My name is Katherine and I’m from Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve always loved the North Carolina mountains, from spending all my school breaks at my grandparents’ house in Boone to my eight wonderful summers as a camper at RBC and I’m so excited to be making the transition from camper to staff as a CIT this year! At camp I’m always sitting in the NC summer sunshine by the lake with a book, hanging out and helping down at the barn, or doing some kind of craft on the Needlecraft porch.

Hey! I’m Arianna, I’m 20, and I’m from Brazil. I’m a business major and I went to Western Carolina University for a semester to do an exchange program, and now I’m spending the summer in Brevard. I’ve never worked on a camp before, so I’m really excited and I can’t wait! I enjoy spending my time painting, and photographing.

Hi friends! My name is Naomi and I am excited to be back for my 5th summer at Rockbrook! I have worked as a counselor, a Fiber Arts activity specialist, and this year I will be an assistant director. I am originally from Louisville, KY but have been living in Brevard for over a year now. Rockbrook is such a special place to me, namely for the community of supportive, loving, and spirited individuals that love it just as much as I do. It is here you will develop meaningful friendships, connect with nature, potentially discover a new hobby (it’s where I learned to weave), and learn something new and wonderful about yourself.

At camp you can find me admiring all the flora and fauna, making a potholder on the hill, enjoying all of Rick’s delicious meals, and no doubt doing something silly. I am so grateful to be here for another joyful summer in this magical, wooded fairyland. I hope I can be a part of making your time at Rockbrook nothing but fun! Can’t wait to meet y’all!

Hey! My name is Laney and I am super excited to be back at camp this summer. This past school year I attended Palm Beach Atlantic University and studied marketing. I have been a camper at Rockbrook since I was 8 years old. The experiences at camp are different than any I could have at home or anywhere else. I am extremely excited to share my love for Rockbrook with new campers and old friends! See ya’ll soon!

Hey! my name is Isabelle I am 19 years old and I am from Manchester, Uk.  When I am not in Manchester spending time with my family or going to the Manchester City games to watch the football (Soccer), I live and go to university in Liverpool where I study Education Studies. This will be my first year in the states and my first year at Rockbrook and I am super excited to meet all the campers and my fellow councillors.  See you all soon!!
