Aden Burka Wright

Some of my very favorite childhood memories were made at Rockbrook Camp. I was lucky enough to spend nine summers there as a camper, and now I love getting to watch my daughter experience that same magic. It’s funny, these days I may forget why I walked into a room, but I can still recall every word to my favorite camp songs.
One of the most special things about Rockbrook is how the love for camp is passed down through generations. And now I’ll finally have more time to wander around and find out if my name is still written on a few cabin walls.

Hi everyone! I’m Julieta, originally from Monterrey, Mexico, but I recently moved to Guadalajara. This fall I’ll be starting my studies at the UAG in my country, where I’ll study Physical Therapy because I love the health and medical field. Before starting this new chapter, I’m so excited to spend my summer at Rockbrook!

One of the things I’m most excited about is meeting people from different places and sharing a little bit of my culture with the Rockbrook community. I’ve always loved activities that bring people together, whether that’s sports, art, music, or simply laughing with friends. I’m really excited to meet everyone, try new things, and just have a fun summer at camp. I know this experience is going to be something really special, and I can’t wait to be part of it!

Audrey Edwards

Hey everyone! My name is Audrey and I am so excited to start working at Rockbrook! I live in a small town in Waverly, Alabama, and I was 12 first went to Rockbrook. Although I was scared at first, all my fear washed away the minute I saw the lake and the Junior Lodge. I knew right then I would love it here. One of my favorite things about Rockbrook is the people; I have so many life long friends here that I treasure more than anyone else in the world, and I hope every camper can make friends just like I have at Rockbrook.

I hope to share Rockbrook wonder and fun with all the campers I interact with. My advice, try to do every activity you can. Even if you think, “I don’t know if I am a climber” or “a singer” or “a swimmer”, by trying all the activities you can discover a new part of yourself. And as you explore activities, you can get to know Rockbrook’s wonderful community, from the smallest camper to the oldest councilor. If you ever spot me reading at the top of the hill or playing ukulele in the Junior Lodge, feel free to say “Hey there, hi there!”

Lucy Allum

Hey there, hi there, I’m Lucy and I am so excited to be back at RBC this summer! I grew up near Cambridge in the UK and I now go to the University of Lincoln to study Psychology.

Camp never fails to keep me present and in the moment which I feel is rare in my life outside of camp when I’m thinking about school deadlines or using technology a bit too much. Camp gets you away from all that while keeping you in touch with your inner child and ALWAYS encourages you to be a little bit silly!

I feel so privileged to experience camp life at RBC and be surrounded by all these incredible Rockbrook girls – I absolutely cannot wait to be back in the heart of the wooded mountain!

Bri Kirchhoff

Bri Kirchhoff

Hey! Hi! My name is Bri and I am so excited to get to experience my first Rockbrook summer as a counselor. While I haven’t gotten the chance to spend a summer at Rockbrook before, I grew up spending summers making the BEST memories playing mermaids in Lake Michigan and pretending to be a wilderness explorer in the woods of upper Wisconsin, so I cannot wait to make even more memories and to explore all that Rockbrook has to offer. Over the past few summers– in between playing with my dog or finding increasingly intricate ways to get tan while avoiding a sunburn– I have spent my time babysitting and working as a day camp counselor in the Chicago suburbs, where I call home.

This year, I cannot wait to experience the pure magic and joy that is a Rockbrook summer. I knew Rockbrook was the place for me when I saw just how much love and happiness there was on each and every person’s face all over the Rockbrook website, then meeting people all the way at school in Indiana who could attest to the beautiful summers they spent at Rockbrook. I look forward to getting to know everyone, letting loose and being silly, and hopefully participating in as many dance parties and sing-offs as possible. I feel so lucky to join such an amazing group of people and hopefully getting to contribute to a spectacular summer.

Hey there! My name is Della, and I’m from Delray Beach, Florida. I’ve been coming to camp since I was 11 years old, and it has become such an important part of my life. I’m currently a junior at Florida Atlantic University, and no matter how busy school gets, I always look forward to spending my summers back at camp. My all-time favorite thing to do at camp is white water kayaking! I love teaching it, spending time on the river with friends, and helping campers try new things and build confidence. Some of my favorite memories have come from being out on the water both in and outside of camp. I’m most excited to meet everyone, make new friends, and create amazing memories together this summer. Being in the mountains is what makes me happiest, and I truly couldn’t think of a better place to spend my summer!
