You know the holidays are here when Brevard enjoys its annual holiday parade and twilight tour. Strolling carolers, horse-drawn carriages, and twinkling Christmas lights filled the streets of Brevard for its annual Twilight Tour on the evening of December3. Downtown became enchanted with the sights and sounds of the holidays, inviting visitors to spend the evening shopping among the local shops.
There was lots to see and do including live musical entertainment, food vendors and craft booths, as well as visits with Santa, elf school, an ice skating rink and carriage rides. A great time was had by everyone despite the rainy weather. Hooray- the season has arrived.

As we mentioned in the last newsletter, the Monarch migration is happening this month. The monarchs travel all the way to Mexico for the winter. As a matter of fact it can take the butterflies almost 2 months to get to Mexico depending on where they started. The record flight for a Monarch is over 256 miles in one day. Wow! Check out this link to learn more about the butterfly migration and see real photos of the butterflies in action.
