Toward the end of each session at camp, we have a day of “barn games.” It’s when we come up with fun activities a little different from the regular summer camp riding lessons. For example, we’ll decorate a horse or two with colorful (and washable!) paint, and maybe play “red light, green light,” but one of the most popular is the “Apple Hunt.” This is when the riding instructors hide several apples out in the fields, and the girls are challenged to ride around and find the apples. One apple is marked, and the rider who finds it gets a special prize. They’re all great fun!

hey my fave game 2 play on horseback is cops and robbers!!! i also love to play “show” and my bro is the judge waa he gave me a 5/10 in grooming skillz i also like to play indians, where you adopt a horse and you are like an indian and you have to raise it and use it in war. i also play “stranded” where i’m stranded on an island and i have a horse that i found on the beach and i train it. i make obstacle courses too. well theres some ideas but i am looking for other interesting games to play on horseback

Hey, I love horses so much I always wanted one since I was two, and I finally got one. His name is Taco and he is a Beautiful Dark bay with a white mark on his face. He is 19 years old and he lives three houses up the road from me and I keep him there with all of the other horses and donkeys and goats. They have like 12 or 13 horses and their names are Twister, Joe, Caleigh, Colby, Cole, Rory, Dale, Tuff, Bucky, Tori, Kricket, Pistal and they have two donkeys witch are named Cody and Mandy and they have three goat named Thunder Bolt, Lacey and Petunia, and one miniture horse named MarsBar and one guard dog named Holly. Hi i have 3 horse there names are Sadie,Shanty and Ataboy. I mite be getting ather one soon. I’v been riding since i was 3. My first horse was a pony his name was Snickers and when you throgh a stick in the pastuer he would go get it and bring it back to you. And i do barrell racing and pole bending with Sadie. Sadie is a quarterhorse and Shanty is an arabian and Ataboy is a quarterhorse arabian cross. i luv horses.

Hi I love Horses and I own 5 of them, Scooter, Dina’s MO Girl, Spot, No Spot(name for now), Little Bit(my Grandma kept him for me and she fell off of No Spot because a snap broke and she messed up her shoulder so she won’t be able to fide again untill the end of March). If you were wondering all of these horses are Missouri Fox Trotters and my horse that I always ride is Scooter, he’s the best he’s 7. I use him for trail riding, show, barrel racing, and pole bending. My Grandma’s horse is Dina’s MO Girl, she was working on training No Spot.

Hi i am a horse freak i have been with horses all my life. A few years ago i was on a trail with my school and i saw an anerexic horse limping, so i told my teacher to call the ASPCA and save the horse the horse was a little scared of me, thank goodness i had a few carrots in my lunch bag so i gave the horse all my carrots. 1 year later it found to be my horse, she had 3 foals and now i live on a farm with 56 horses. My favorite horse is Rascal he is my buddy. The horse that i found is now in my stable and her name is Grace. Even though she died a couple months ago i know she is still in my heart cheering me on in races and when i getting ready to jump because she was the very first horse that i every jumped with and i sure do miss her and love her:)

I love horses…I have worked with horses since I could remember…But I never had one of my own till I was 17…I was only able to get her because I had finally gotten a job where I was making enough to support her…My parents never paid a dime for her! Talk about a responsibility! It taught me a lot…She was my first one, and I named her Kai. She was 3 when I got her, and untrained, so I trained her myself! It was hard at first, but totally worth it! We had a really strong bond up until I had to get rid of her because I was getting married and could not take her with me. But she was so much fun, and I learned a lot while I had her…I cannot wait to get another one! I advise any young lady who has an interest in horses and wants to learn everything they can to get a horse that you can train…maybe not from the ground up like I had to do, but deffinatly where you can train a little bit…The bond you build with your horse is amazing, and like none other! I had gotten Kai to the point where I could ride her and look in a direction and she would go that direction! We were so close! But if you were like me, and could not get your own, find someone who has horses but does not use them, that is a great way to learn, and to get your horsey high! Good luck to you all!

Hey guys. my name is Mimi. I luv horses and i have 22. well 3 are for sale. I live in Wyoming with my parents, and my 2 older brothers . i’m 12 yrs old and i live on a ranch in the valley of a huge mountain. the ranch is 20,000 acres . i know BIG right. if i had a choice i would have made it smaller. i’ve been riding for 7 1/2 yrs. my fav horses out of all of them are Apache, Skipper, Shiloh, Brent, and Leo, oh and my dads horse Hero. Leo is extra special because he is a Paso Fino. I’ve had him since he was 3 but he is almost 8.Skipper was my first horse i ever got, he is PERFECT. My grandpa also has horses. 7 to be exact. He lives in Northern Cali. I also love to show. I do cross country, show jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, gymkana (games on horseback), i’ve done a little dressage but its not really my thing. well to all who love horses but don’t have any, you have to have hope, and you’ve got to learn how to batt those eye lashes for your daddy. Just in case you are wondering the 3 horses for sale are named Peppers he is a brown and white paint quarter Horse, Bebe she is a jet black Arabian, and Misty she is a thorobred, Mustang cross. my dad really likes her but we can’t keep her because she was already trained when we bought her to be a cart pony, but we don’t have or need a cart. Misty’s coloring is a buckskin and a dun. i know weird but cool. Oh and by the way the Ranch name is Rocking T Ranch.

I think horses are the coolest creatures around. I think some horses are gentle but some are really mean. People think they are dumb but their brain is bigger then a human brain. I always wanted a horse but I have to wait until my mom and dad can hit the lottery and win million’s of dollars. But this June I am going to a horse camp this summer.
