Dolly's Ice Cream – A summer camp tradition

Couldn’t resist sending along this article about our favorite local ice cream shop, Dolly’s Dairy Bar. It’s from the online edition of the Hendersonville newspaper, The Times-News. If you’ve been to Dolly’s, you’ll love the article and enjoy hearing some of the trivia it reports. For example, did you know that Dolly’s has a total of 54 different flavors, including the 22 “summer camp flavors, ” and did you know that the Rockbrook flavor, Rockbrook Chocolate Illusion, is one of the top 5 flavors? Our campers just love the place.
If you’re ever in the Brevard area, you should check it out!

oh yea, Rockbrook chocolate illusion. that is the BEST!
Everyone in my cabin (including me) got the special Rockbrook flavor. It was so good and chocolaty, yet I don’t remember the exact name of it… when we went my friend Victoria had just taken her shower and decided to put on her PJs. Then some girls came and said that we were going rock climbing! She got really scared but it was a trick, they just took us to Dolly’s, but the Camp Carolina boys came at the EACT same time!! So she just sat really close between my other friend Maggie and I and they didn’t see her

This is the best place on earth! I used to go camping at Davidson river campground when I was little and me, my sister, my parents, and my grandparents went here every night after supper! It’s one of my fondest memories! =)
