Rockbrook 2026

Hey yall! My name is Catherine and i has so excited for this summer. i grew up right outside of Atlanta in Sandy Springs and have been a camper for 5 summers. A little fun fact about me is that both my mom and aunt were campers at Rockbrook for about 7-8 summers. Not only that by my grandmother was also a counslor! So with all of that history my family LOVES rockbrook. i am so excited to be on staff this year and meet so many new people and make new friendships. Some of my favorite activities and hobbies i found at camp have come home with me including making friendships bracelets. I also love the lake and plan to spend quite a few of my free swims becoming a mermaid and going down the water slide. I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer and make new connections in my favorite place! WOOHOO!!!

Hi Rockbrook, I’m Susanna! I just finished my first year at UNC Chapel Hill studying Biology and Chinese! I grew up in sunny Jacksonville, Florida and I had the privilege to spend eight amazing summers at Rockbrook as a camper! Camp is my “happy place”, and I always cherish the friendships and memories I made as a Rockbrook camper! Now, I’m so excited to return for my second year on staff! This summer, you will probably find me hanging out on the hill, making a bracelet on the Junior Lodge Porch, down at the alpine tower, or on the Rockbrook Runners (and Walkers) trail! My favorite part of being a RBC counselor is welcoming campers into the Rockbrook community and helping them feel at home. I also love encouraging campers to try new things! I can’t wait for another awesome summer!

Hey there, hi there! I’m Mischa and I am SO EXCITED for this summer in the heart of a wooded mountain! My home base is currently Florida, but I lived in Asheville for 6 years and the mountains will always be my home. This is my 7th summer at Rockbrook which, seems like a lucky year! As a camper, Rockbrook was the place I looked forward to going the most during the summer. As a returning counselor, I have gained a new perspective on my favorite place and my love for it has grown immensely. I want to spread all the magic I’ve gained through camp to my campers. Playing dress up and singing campfire songs will never get old!

This summer you will most likely find me going over notes and choreography for the play, playing freeze dance in the lakeside lodge, playing my ukulele on the hill, or reading on the jodge porch! I’m also known for being a perpetual character on the announcements mic, hey Rockbrook prepare to hear my voice a lot (and hydrate)!!!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be back at Rockbrook this summer- playing at the lake, laughing in the dining hall, and hanging out on the hill! Rockbrook is one of my favorite places to be in the summer, and I am so excited to see what this one has in store. I just finished my first year of medical school, and can’t wait to take some time to disconnect in the heart of the wooded mountain 🙂 I am looking forward to seeing friends, new and old, and making fun memories in the most magical place. Hi! My name is Sylvi, and I am so so excited to be back at Rockbrook for my third summer! I was born in North Carolina and I grew up spending most of my summers in Brevard. I now go to school at Radford University in Virginia and I am looking to graduate next year! Rockbrook has been a wonderful place to call home these past two summers and I am so so excited to return! Previously at camp, I was apart of the amazing adventure/paddling staff and this year I will get to be a counselor as well! At camp, you may find me on the hill frolicking, at the lake swimming, life-guarding, and teaching campers how to kayaking, leading campers on out-of-camp trips, and guiding campers down the many wonderful rivers that are around Rockbrook! Camp is so so special and is truly a place where everyone can be themselves! I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces so so soon and being back in a yak! (Kayak!)

Hiya! My name is Liv and I’m from a small village in England just north of London. I’m currently on my gap year, where I’ve been volunteering in South Africa and working at a local cafe, and I’m off to university in September to study psychology. Growing up in a village I spent the majority of my time outside in the fields or on walks with my friends and I grew to love being outdoors. I am so excited to get to spend my summer in the outdoors at camp as it looks stunning, and making lots of amazing new friends. I’m ready to get completely involved with camp life and traditions, try lots of new things and making loads of amazing memories!!!

Hi, y’all! I am so excited to be joining RBC this summer! This will be my first summer with Rockbrook, but I spent ten years as a camper in Texas. I am originally from Houston, but I go to school in DC, where I fell in love with Appalachia. The beautiful mountains and crisp air are irreplaceable, and I am so grateful to surround myself in the RBC environment. I love to hike, connect with nature, and spend time with friends. I am looking forward to getting to know all the girls at camp and being as supportive as I can in everyone’s personal growth.

At American University, I study political theory, compete in debate, and volunteer in local public schools. I am often found either working on my laptop or covered in sticky tabs from annotating books at a local coffee shop. At home, I have an older sister and a dog. I enjoy biking, weightlifting, and finding the best, hidden restaurants in my city.
I can’t wait to meet everyone in a few short weeks!
P.S. I will be bringing lots of spare books for anyone to borrow! 🙂

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to be back at Rockbrook again after a couple of years! I am from Jacksonville, Florida, and will be a senior at the University of Vermont this fall. I enjoy outdoor activities like rock climbing, rappelling, backpacking, and camping. Overall, I really love spending time in nature, which is one of the reasons why I am so drawn to Rockbrook! Not only is it beautiful, but the people you meet at camp are also kind, caring, and funny. I have loved every bit of time I spent at camp as a camper, and hope to help create the same experience for everyone else!

Hi there! I grew up in western Maryland in a small town called Williamsport! I spent ages 12-18 in a professional training program for ballet near Washington, D.C and have always had a deep passion for the arts. Since then, I’ve become a raft guide and a major outdoor enthusiast while getting my degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I’ve been a camp counselor since 2023 and I’m super exciting to be joining Rockbrook this summer!
