Rockbrook is a traditional overnight summer camp for girls located in the mountains of western North Carolina near Brevard. Established in 1921, it offers a diverse program of horseback riding, outdoor adventure activities, whitewater rafting, ceramics, crafts, and many other activities. Girls ages 6-16 attend for 2-, 3-, or 4-week sessions. Rockbrook is accredited by the American Camp Association.

The camp is like the best on earth! I had the best time ever! I couldn’t go home! when i got there i was sad, then i met my “cabin mates” and we got along so well! This year I’m going to do what my sister said to my mom when we left bye mom see ya in 3 weeks!”.
I love camp!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually wait all year to go to camp. At night, when I am supposed to be studying, I make my packing list. Because they send yo a packing list with 1/5 of the stuff you actually need to bring. I never have enough room in my trunk. Camp is amazing!!!!I like being at home, with guys, just as much (if not more) than anyone, but having that extra ten second when you leave the cabin to put on your shirt is great.I love being in the atmosphere where you don’t have to impress guys. I is great. I cant wait to go to camp.
This camp sounds fun but the only over nite camp I have ever been to was 4-H camp and it was only for 5 days! Plus it is only like five miles from my house!!! I think I’ll ask my mum and dad if I can go to camp 3 states away!

i can not wait to go to camp rbc. i mean i have never been there before that is why i want to go so bad i wish i could be there rightnow this instant but i will have to wait til july then i will be yhere and be able to enjoy camp life this will be my third overnight camp i have been to i have been to camp hanes and camp key oy i(well i can not spell it) and i bet this will be the best one yet. i live in high point nc and yes it is so annoying how long you have to wait to finally be at camp i love camp

Hey every1. I live in Aussie. It’s pretty cool but we don’t have camps like that!!! Tell me all the fun stuff u do alright???? We go on one camp where we load up our horses and ride through the bush, then we camp out under the stars in swags!!!

Rockbrook is a lot of fun. You can make new friends. I can’t stop thinking of camp. Im going the first session and my birthday will be at camp on June the 12th

i have never been to RBC but i’m dying for school to END!! then i could go to RBC and then it would be my birthday!! i wish it was july 11th so then the next day i could go to RBC!

I soooooooooooo agree with u, NEW AT CMP! Exept i have to wait until August!!! I am going with my cousin Emma so it is so worth the wait (even though it is sooooooo long!). Here’s a tip: if u start to feel homesick before RBC starts watch a movie and eat some popcorn. You’ll forget all about it (until the movie’s over). But hey, u tried.

Hi Campers. I am doing research on a historic house here in Transylvania county, once owned by a writer named Hamilton Basso. He wrote 11 novels and 2 were made into movies. During the research I discovered that he and his wife, Etolia, were married at Rockbrook. How cool is that!

In 2008 i might be going to RBC and i just wanted to ask you this. I am going into 8th grd and i love horseback riding. do u ride english or western? i ride english. : ) at RBC do u get to pick what you do for activities or are u required to play the sports like soccer/tennis ect? i love to river raft,kayak,horseback ride,hike,rock climb,camp, and all of the outdorsy fun stuff. but heres my secret: though i loooove the outdoors and nature i am terrified of sports. lol. idk why. but that is probly a problm? rite? its something to do with balls flying at my face and watching people come charging at me, trying to kick the ball out from under me, only to end up kicking my shins. hmm. its not natural, really. just kiddin! so anyways, plz comment back!!! cant wait to meet u all possibly in whenever camp starts! : ) (oh also, do u have to participate in the skits/plays? i am sort of nervous about that : ) hee hee. i kind of have a low self esteem going here. lol ) xoxo-FL-:)

At Rockbrook you don’t have to take any activity that you don’t like. So for you, you can avoid sports and drama is you like

Okay, well.. This year (08′) is going to be my third year at RBC. I will be going into 9th grade… From all of the activities and partys, to hanging out with your camp buddies and just talking during free time, RBC is a camp experience you will never forget, and can’t wait to do the next summer. I couldn’t imagine myself at any other camp!

HEY!!!!!!!! this is my first over night camp and im soooooooooo excited. To get away 4 2 weeks and not have 2 worry bout any thing is AWESOME!!!!!!! Im a florida girl and a middler, that will be going into 6th grade. Since you are finishing the 8th grade, you would be a regular senior. The CAs have finished the 9th grade, and the HUPs have finished the 10th grade.

Hi Camp Rockbrook! I might go next year. It’s would be my 1st year going to sleep away camp! I am nervous. Tell me what to expect. I’ll b 9 yrs old. I’m from FL.
Jaclyn, Yes, there are three age groups: Juniors (1st-4th grade), Middlers (5th and 6th grade), and Seniors (7th-9th grade). The cabins hold 8 campers and 2 counselors, with a couple of bigger ones too.

that is the only bow i shoot. i do it at my friends lol

OMG! RBC is the best! Making friends is SO easy- you’ll have a blast! TRUST ME I KNOW! you son’t get homesick or miss you’re parents at all- my first year at RBC I thought i was going to e so homesick but you have so much fun it takes your mind off of your parents. okay looking at rbcs blog is making me so exited like i want tommarow to be the day i go to rbc! i’m freaking out! OMG! there is no fencing at rbc at-least i don’t think… Savannah you should expect an awesome time, good food, horseback riding, and plenty of other great activities. Hannah we do get to explore camp it’s so cool! Camp is so fun! My whole entire cabin basically cried when we had to go! I can’t wait to see all my friends after a year!
