Sammy Wasserman

Hey There, Hi There. My name is Sammy, and I am soooooo excited to meet everyone this summer! This is my 7th year at camp, and Rockbrook is my favorite place on earth. I grew up in Decatur, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta, and moved to Massachusetts right before I started high school. I absolutely love everything about camp life, but specifically am looking forward to meeting so many new friends this summer, and having long conversations on the Jodge (Junior Lodge) Porch! As a camper, I went on almost every trip at Rockbrook, so if you have any questions, I’m your gal!

I spent four months living in Colorado and Utah this fall, and am so excited to bring my new skills to camp, and talk about everything nature! My favorite part about camp is how authentic everyone and everything are. Each person can be entirely themselves and find out what that means during their time in the wooded mountains. I am so excited for kayaking in the lake, muffin break, climbing the alpine tower, and being in my home once again!

A quick piece of wisdom after my many summers: It is scary to come to camp, but the minute you roll up the driveway to Rockbrook, you will feel right at home! Everyone is here to cheer you on, so be yourself and have fun. Ask for help if you need it, because we all need a hug sometimes. I can’t wait to see all my old friends and make some new ones as well!
