Lavinia Maybank

Hi everyone! I’m Lavinia Maybank, but I’m commonly known at camp as Maybae– a nickname given to me my first year at camp. I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, but now live in Boulder, Colorado, where attend the University of Colorado! I just finished my first year as a political science major, and hope to become a lawyer in the future.

I love spending as much time as possible outdoors– whether thats hiking, kayaking, rafting, or stargazing! This will be my first year on staff at RBC, but my 10th year returning after being a camper for nine. I am absolutely thrilled to be back in the heart of a wooded mountain, giving back to the camp community that gave me such a beautiful space to grow, connect with nature, and make lifelong friends.

At camp, you can find me by the lake, star gazing on the hill, or on the porch of the Junior Lodge making a friendship bracelet, reading, or talking to friends and campers. I can’t wait for the best year yet!!
