Sylvia Jean Hemmer

Hi! My name is Sylvi, and I am so so excited to be back at Rockbrook for my third summer! I was born in North Carolina and I grew up spending most of my summers in Brevard. I now go to school at Radford University in Virginia and I am looking to graduate next year! Rockbrook has been a wonderful place to call home these past two summers and I am so so excited to return! Previously at camp, I was apart of the amazing adventure/paddling staff and this year I will get to be a counselor as well! At camp, you may find me on the hill frolicking, at the lake swimming, life-guarding, and teaching campers how to kayaking, leading campers on out-of-camp trips, and guiding campers down the many wonderful rivers that are around Rockbrook! Camp is so so special and is truly a place where everyone can be themselves! I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces so so soon and being back in a yak! (Kayak!)
