Ava Blankenship
This year will be my first year in staff after 5 years as a camper. I initially signed up to be a CIT because last year, I had to leave camp early because I got covid and I thought that that would be a terrible way to leave for good. But now, I find myself even more excited for camp this year because I have even more opportunities to impact all the wonderful girls that attend this magical place!
I live in Houston, TX, but I was born in Mobile, Alabama, and my family is from New Orleans, Louisiana. I have lived many a place and travel is a passion that my family shares. And yet, after all the places I have visited, I have yet to find a more beautiful place than Rockbrook. I love that everyone there is free to be their true selves and experiment through activities, unlikely friendships, and even the food. This all allows us to learn more about ourselves, who we want to be in the world, and what kind of impact we want to have.
