RBC'n Your Way into a Teaching Job

Callie Almond, Kayaking instructor

Callie Almond, Head Paddling Instructor

Many a counselor from Rockbrook have went on to become teachers. Currently, Callie Almond, our Middler Linehead and head paddling instructor this year, has just started student teaching in an effort to complete her degree at Emory and Henry College in Virginia. She’s jumping right in by teaching two 10th grade English classes, two 11th grade AP English classes and a speech class! Callie says, “During our class on classroom management strategies, a lot of methods we discussed were the same ones used at camp to monitor behavior. It was really cool to see the similiarities and know already how some of them worked.” Good luck in school, Callie!!!!
