Both staff and campers enjoy an occasional overnight at to our Nantahala Outpost we use for our famous rafting trips. On a typical overnight, there’s storytelling, group games, songs and of course, S’MORES! Here’s a cute picture of some adventurous Middlers:

Yup, it’s that time of year again – the lake will soon “winterized” by being drained. Believe it or not, the lake used to be smaller than it is now and was used to turn the water wheel that provided the electricity for camp! If you use you imagination, the outline of the lake as it is today is that of a cardinal. The water for the lake comes all the way from Rockbrook Falls!
