WOW this is terribly late! Sorry, I had issues with getting a username (thanks Jeff!) since I blogged one camp article about… four summers ago, I don’t know. I’m awful with technology- awful. Runs in the family. My parents don’t have cell phones, we’ve never had an answering machine, and we didn’t get cable until my mom and I did ordered it one year when my dad and brother were on a fishing trip in Canada. So if you’re going to make Rocko’s Modern Life or Rugrats references, I won’t get them. Apologies.

I am Lexie Sears, a Geography and Environmental Studies double-major at Florida State University and this will be my (eeeek!) 11th summer in the heart of a wooded mountain. It blows my mind saying that, just like when I have to give my age and say “21.” When did this happen? In my head, I’m about 12 years old, so get ready for that.
I just want you guys to know that I cannot wait to get up to camp this summer and meet everyone and run around like a crazy person outside, continually having a blast from the end of May until mid-August. There’s no offswitch on my Rockbrook button, only a fader that operates September-May when I have try to tone it down and not make every story about camp when I get back to the real world. I love camp and I can’t wait to get in there, teach some climbing, and create what I know is going to be the greatest summer ever (because they just keep getting better).
Some random info: I love Jeopardy. Love it. I love trivia, and I LOVE movie/tv/song quotes. If you catch me mumbling or saying something that seems totally non sequitur, it’s some weirdo reference. I kind of do it on the off chance that someone will get it and we can share that crazy moment when we’re both like “you remember that!” or “you know what that’s from?” I find myself randomly singing constantly, and in generally I’m up for any kind of shenanigans that people propose. If you’re excited about it, I’ll be excited about it. I love this planet Earth and I am nothing short of a tree hugging dirt worshiper, and one day I hope to travel and affect positive change as I go.
Grace, I feel your football pain. FSU dominated in the 90’s. Where have the good times gone?
