Outrdoors Trip Camp
In addition to the regular in-camp activities, Rockbrook girls take lots of out-of-camp trips as well. These are day-long or overnight trips to area forests (e.g. the Pisgah National Forest), rivers (e.g., the Nantahala River), lakes (e.g., Lake Jocassee), and rocks (e.g., Looking Glass Rock) for such activities as backpacking, rock climbing, sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, canoeing and kayaking, and mountain biking. Plenty of adventure to go around!
Kids Camp in North Carolina
Here are a few of our “seniors” up on Cascade Lake. It’s just a few minutes from our North Carolina kids camps near the Dupont State Forest, and is a wonderful place to bring the sea kayaks. We put in on one end of the lake and paddle to the other end to see Hooker Falls, an awesome waterfall. For some, sea kayaking has become their favorite outdoor adventure activity at camp!
