We often get the question, “Where are you located?” Rockbrook is a few miles south of Brevard, North Carolina, a small town in the western mountains of the state. This area of NC is part of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range of the “Crystalline Appalachians,” a region known for its granite outcroppings. Rockbrook is no different with both “Castle Rock” and “Dunns Rock” on the property.

As a matter of fact it can take the butterflies almost 2 months to get to Mexico depending on where they started. The record flight for a Monarch is over 256 miles in one day. Wow! Check out this link to learn more about the butterfly migration and see real photos of the butterflies in action.
