RBC loves to Read
Now that the fall is here and the weather is getting cooler it is nice to go inside and curl up with a good book. We have found lots of great sites on the internet for you book lovers. Check out Kidsreads for some fun book suggestions, games and trivia. It is always nice to have suggestions for new and interesting books.
Atlanta Pottery Party
Camine had a “spooktacular” time in Atlanta at “Art & Soul” Pottery Studio painting pottery with special guests like the Statue of Liberty, Genie, Candy Korn, a student from Hogwarts, an Army “Major Flirt”, a gothic teenager, and two Halloween divas. Alyssa Calloway, Louisa Luranc, Natalie Flanders, Lauren, McCall, and Ana Overton, Mary Stuart DeLong, Laura Bratisax, and Coco Street were able to join us for the afternoon. We had a great time painting and talking about camp. Don’t forget to pickup your pottery!
Mt. Pleasant Party
We had a great time at the Rockbrook Party at Margaret Legerton’s house in Mt. Pleasant, SC. We loved seeing Margaret and her family as well as Gwyneth and Emma Bradley, Catherine, Avery and Ella Saunders, Kaetlin and Makenzie Collins, Beth, Paula and Sammy Kramer and Henley and Emily Ball! What a great turnout. Margaret Lyle, Camine and Leah had such fun catching up with everyone and sharing lots of great camp stories.
High Point Party- Big Fun!
We had a great time at our High Point, NC camp party at the home of Marston and Hannah Councill. The girls were super Rockbrook representatives, sharing camp stories with all of their friends. We enjoyed watching the slides from this past summer, eating pizza and a Rockbrook cake, and playing Karaoke Revolution. There sure were some good singers in the group. Maybe we need to add a big Karaoke party to the camp schedule this summer.
All of the girls enjoyed learning more about RBC and loved hearing Hannah and Marston’s stories from this past summer. Hopefully some of them will be able to join us next summer. Thanks to Hannah and Marston and their family for making us feel so welcome and hosting such a super party. We had a blast!
Columbia, SC Party- a big hit!
Wow- what a great turn out we had at the Columbia, SC Rockbrook party. We had over 25 girls in attendance! Margaret Lyle, Camine and Alex enjoyed getting to see everyone and painting some super cool pottery! Thanks to all of you who could come- we had a blast.
Rockbrook Staff Travel Report

Our good friend Lilly Sagar sent a report from Lancaster, England where she is studying abroad this semester at University of Lancaster. She is having a great time so far, meeting people from all over the world. Her classes start next week, so she is enjoying traveling and seeing the sights before the hard work begins. Former Rockbrook counselor Anna Wells is also studying in Lancaster- maybe they can teach some Rockbrook songs to their fellow students!
Margaret Lyle's Macon Trip
I had a great trip to my hometown Macon, Georgia this past weekend. In addition to visiting with family and friends I painted pottery at a party hosted by current camper Kayleigh Sky Donner. Kayleigh Sky and several of her buddies had just come from their basketball game so they were decked out in uniform. The name of their team is the Angels. Go Angels Go! I really enjoyed meeting lots of Kayleigh Sky’s friends from school- there were over 15 girls in attendance.
My next trip is to Florida so I will have lots more to report. Keep reading the Blog…

Camp Parties – Hooray!
Hi everyone! Greetings from the heart of a wooded mountain. It has been a while since our last posting so we wanted to update you all on what is going on here in Brevard. We have been busy on the road with lots of fun camp parties and slide shows- it has been wonderful to see so many of you. We have lots more parties scheduled so come see us when we are in your town.
