Sliding Rock Camp Fun!
Another amazing trip we take while at camp is to Sliding Rock in the Pisgah Forest. Only a few miles from camp, we’ll take a whole group of girls over for a few trips down the natural water slide. It’s tons of fun! You walk to the top of the slide, sit down in the very chilly rushing stream water, and you’re off… heading right down to the deep pool at the bottom the the slide. Swim to the side and then head back to the top! Over and over again, it’s great.

Hi
I live in Venezuela. I was looking for the name of a similar rock slide we have in the jungle when I came across this photo. It is called “El Tobogán de la Selva” (something like “The slide of the jungle”). I went there twice when I was a teenager. It was really fun! The only set back is that your swimwear worn out fast! We had to wear underware beside the bathing swuit. The slide is located in Amazonas State in the south of venezuela, in the area where we share the frontier with Brazil. I went there about twenty years ago when a group of catholic teenagers under the leadership of a visionary priest visited Puerto Ayacucho (the capital of the state). We went there to visit and share with a group of semi-civilized indigenous people called Guahibos.
