Horseback Riding
Jun 1st, 2007 by RBC
It’s really getting exciting around here now because the horses are starting to arrive! Several have made it up from South Carolina, a few from Virginia, and a bunch from down in Laurinburg, North Carolina. It’s great to see them back in the Rockbrook fields. They’ll also be enjoying the latest addition to the Rockbrook Horseback Riding Program— a new double riding ring!
That’s Robbie in the photo.

Are there any forest riding trails in the woods?
Yes, there are forest trails for riding, but we spend our time riding English, hunter-jumper in our camp riding rings.
what are the chores like?
Katie,
Most campers do not really get involved with barn chores, but if you are really interested you can help out. That is what we call the “Barn Club.” It is a way to spend even more time around the horses.
thats cool! i love horses alot, and maybe that will help me get out of sports at RBC? : ) i am intimidated by sports. or rather fierce competition. also, even if u are riding english, are you allowed to ride on the trails in groups with a cousler or something? i saw something about getting to jump natural barriers and i thought ‘maybe i should ask’ . : ) possibly seeing u this summer 2008!!! xo-FL-:)
Hello again FL Girl!
No worries about not liking sports too much; you don’t have to sign up for sports if you don’t want to. And yes, we do have some trails, but we spend our time riding English, in the fields and in the riding rings. The “barriers” are normal jumps you may have seens before. That’s great you might be coming this summer!
