I am a nursing student, graduating June 13th, 2009 and due to hold my Oregon RN license by mid-July, possibly earlier. I am interested in finding out information regarding any summer camp RN jobs that may be available. I have 26 years experience working with children of all ages, developmental levels and both typically developing and special needs children. In addition, I was a pre-kindergarten teacher for 8 years in Bend, Oregon. If you feel my qualifications may match up with your availability for employment, please contact me. Thank you!

I am an Rn with 31 yr experience but currently not working. Most of my experience is ICU/PACU. I left nursing doing Ambulatory Surgery, pre and post op. In the late '70's and early'80's , I was the coordinator for the West Tn Hemophilia Clinic at the UT Medical Center in Memphis. Most of my work involved childen. I also was directly responsible for preparation for the medical care for the annual sleep away camp for boys age 6-17. I was then the lead nurse in residence for this camp with another nurse and maybe resident doctor, that I could recruit from St Jude. I feel that with my long critical care background and extensive pediatric experience in this field combinded with my 7 years at the Hemophilia Clinic would make me a good candidate for a camp nurse. I have kept up with current nursing with reading, I am AED certified. Plus, I really love children. I never had any of my own, but I find them absolutely fascinating and so wise. I am married, but my husband encourages me to have my own interests, even if it means being away from home for a couple of weeks. I love to read, garden, knit and sew. I'm told I have a good sense of humor and am a very caring person. I think those would be two traits necessary to be a camp nurse. Iam interested in working for 3 weeks if possible. I live in N. Va near DC, my husband works for the FED GOV. We have 4 dogs that are just like our children. I hope to hear from you. Maybe you are looking for someone younger. I am 57, but don't look or act my age, if that makes a difference, so please get that picture of the grandma out of your head! I still get around just fine. (Smile)
